Review: Urban Decay Afterdark Palette

Hi loves! Hope this week started well for you guys :) Today I have review on Urban Decay Afterdark Palette (10x1.4g, 51.50 EUR), which contains 10 shimmery eye shadows and the palette also comes with a brush and has a big mirror inside. 7 of the shades in the palette are new and 3 are cult favorites.

The formula of the shadows feel silky to the touch, but I feel some of the shadows where bit powdery. The pigmentation was still good, but I feel some of the shadows lost intensity when I was blending things out. I haven't experienced it with their other eye shadows. So I needed to go in again and build the color up.

The staying power was amazing as usual. The colors stayed on all day and there was no creasing or fading. These didn't irritate my sensitive eyes and where comfortable to wear throughout the day.

Down below you can see all the 10 shadows swatched and see how pigmented they really are.

First row

  • Alter - is shimmery light yellow, which I find bit powdery. I still find its a beautiful shadow. I love to use it to highlight the inner corner of the eye.
  • Scene - is beautiful shimmery peach shade. It looks gorgeous all over the lid and is one of my favorites out of this palette.
  • Supersonic - is shimmery red rustic shade which I have been using all over the lid and also sometimes out half of the lid (depending if I go for more lighter or smokier eye look).
  • Sinful - is deeper golden shade with shimmery finish. I haven't used it as much, but it is beautiful shade.
  • Off Duty - is shimmery bronze shade, which is perfect to darken up the outer V.

Second row

  • Druggie - is a beautiful shimmery purple.
  • Blackfire - is darker dusty pink shade with shimmery finish. I really love to weary it all over the lid when I'm doing a smokey eye look.
  • Lounge - is a brownish shimmery shade with green sheen to it. I have mostly worn it all over the lid. I love these kind of shadows, which change the light hits.
  • Fringe - is one of my favorite shades from the palette. Its so alive shade and I have a look I did with it, which I'll link down below. I
  • Paralyzed - is shimmery dark blue shade and is another gorgeous shade to use when doing smokey eye.

Overall I'm really happy with this palette. It contains some great light shades and some which are perfect to do smokey eye, so I'm happy :) If you are interested in this palette you can find it here.

Do you own this palette already?

Review: Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer and Highlighter Duo

Hi loves! Today I have a review on Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer and Highlighter Duo ($21, 3g). It contains beautiful highlighter and a bronzer.

The duo comes in a clear compact and has a twist off lid. It can be used on face and also as eyeshadow, which I have done most of the time. The highlighter is perfect shade to use, but the bronzer is bit too shimmery to use all over the face. I do like I can mix the two shades together for more golden highlighter.

The formula is free of parabens, also vegan and cruelty free. Both are richly pigmented and glide on easily. These work wonderfully as eyeshadow and stay vivd all day with out creasing (with primer). These blend well together and also work together with other powder shadows. The formula of both powders feels silky and light weight. I need the lightest touch to get the pay off I want.

Its also allergy tested and hasn't irritated my eyes or caused any brake outs on my skin. There is no scent to it, but it does contain talc and mineral oil.

I'm so happy I got this gem in Style Tone box. I have few other products from the brand and I have love every single one so far. I can't wait to try one of their primers or foundations, I really need to make a order and they do have international shipping available. If you are interested in this item you can find it here.

Unboxing: Sisley The Beauty Subscription: April 2017

Hi loves! I have new beauty subscription box! :) Its from Sisley and every month comes a box with 5 samples. Its a great way to try out their products before purchasing the full size, because their products are expensive. Its 40 EUR for 6 months, which makes a box 6.66 EUR. Its not too bad and some of their samples are generous. This months theme is:

 Life in Pink

  • Black Rose Precious Face Oil (0.5ml, review) - is one of my favorite facial oils. I already have the full size item of it and I love it. I'm almost out of it, which means I need to buy a new bottle soon. Its also great to add it into a foundation for it to glide on better and hydrates the skin through out the day. I have oily skin and I love it!
  • Izia eau de parfum (1.4ml) - is beautiful! I read the description on it online and fell in love and ordered it right away. It smells like roses and reminds me summer mornings. Its perfect for anyone who loves floral scents.
  • Black Rose Cream Mask (10ml, review) - I have used up full size of this mask and I love it. It makes my skin so plump and my makeup applies so much better. The 10 ml sample lasts more the one time use.
  • Floral Toning Lotion (30ml) - The cap of it broke on delivery, but no liquid was spilled though. I have never tried any of their toners before, so its something new to try. It does have herbal scent to it, which I'm used to, because their products always have herbal scent to them. Its alcohol free and is for dry and sensitive skin.
  • Cleansing Milk with White Lily (30ml) - is another item I haven't tried. Its also for dry and sensitive skin. It removes makeup and I usually like my makeup removers to be more to hydrating side.

If you are interested in this subscription I'll leave the link to their page here. I think its great way to get to know the brand and their products. I wish more brands would come out with beauty subscriptions.

What do you think of this subscription?

Review: L'Oreal Perfect Match Highlighter | Rosy Glow

Hi loves! Today I have review for you on L'Oreal Perfect Match Highlighter in shade Rosy Glow (9g, 10 EUR). I picked it up, when I was in Germany.

The highlighter comes in a compact, which has a clear lid, so I can see the product. Under the highlighting powder is a mirror and also a brush to apply it (which I have have tossed). That makes the packaging bit bulky and I'm thinking to remove it and put it in a magnetic palette.

The highlighter contains 3 different shades, which I have swatched on picture down below. The first swatch is on all shades mixed together, next to it is the lightest shade and in the middle is the darkest.

The formula of the highlighter feels silky to the touch and has been one of my favorites to wear. Its pigmented and is easy to blend out to get the perfect glow. I like its not too much, but it can be build up for the instagram highlighter look, if you want.

I have been wearing it lightly on my cheek bones and on bridge of the nose. I also like to use it to highlight the inner corners of the eyes. I love the look I get with it and I have the glow all day :)

I didn't find this shade, but on Feelunique there is 2 other shades available, lighter and a darker shade. I'll link it here.

Have you tried this L'Oreal highlighter?

Review: Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Treatment Lotion Mist

Hi loves! I'm back and will be posting regularly. I was in Estonia las week and got back last night. The first post this week is going to be on Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Treatment Lotion Mist (150ml, 20.20 EUR).

It comes in a plastic bottle and can be sprayed on the face. It fits all skin type and the active ingredient in it is coffee. Its oil free and is perfect to use in the mornings. It smells like the face scrub from the same range. It contains also panax ginseng plus nutrient rich pomegranate. These with coffee been help to energize the skin.

I have been using it as my morning and evening toner. It also can used on top makeup. Its a great item to use to refreshen up the skin through out the day, specially now when the weather gets warmer. My makeup looks better after using it and it takes the powder look away. Its perfect to have on hand on summer and I'll be picking up another bottle after this one is over. I have only quarter left.

It available on Douglas (Netherlands) and I'll link it here. Also its available on Origins on webpage (US) and I'll be linking  it here.

Do you use toner?

Review: Glamglow Powercleanse Daily Dual Cleanser

Hi loves! This week is all about skincare and the first review is on Glamglow Powercleanse Daily Dual Cleanser (mud: 75g, oil: 75ml). Its mud and oil foam cleanser and fits all skin types. Its available on Sephora for 29.95 EUR.

The packaging of the cleanser is light green and has a pump, actually two pumps. The oil and the mud are separated, thats why there is two pumps. Its easy to get the cleanser out and it has been my evening cleanser after removing my makeup.

It claims to help with dullness, oiliness and dryness. The formula is with out parabens, sulfates and phthalates. It does contain fragrance though and the scent of it is strong. I'm not really a fan of skincare items smelling so strongly of fragrance.

I use 3 pumps of both and mix it together between my wet hands. Then I apply it on the face and massage my skin with it. I don't know what it is, but at first it makes my skin feel bit itchy. The feeling doesn't last long and after that it feels nice on skin. It doesn't strip the skin of moisture and after cleanse my skin feels clean and all the dirt is off.

The cleanser is nice enough, but for the price point I think its not worth it. I didn't see any huge chances in my skin and I have used a month. I don't think it made my skin look brighter, but it did keep it cleans and I'll use it up, but will not repurchase it.

Have you tried the brand? What has been your experience?

Thank you for reading! xo's

Review: Nars Pore & Shine Control Primer

Hi loves! I have oily skin and large pores, so I'm always looking for a good primer to help with the oiliness and pores. I have been testing out Nars Pore & Shine Control Primer (30ml, 34 EUR).

The primer comes in a white squeeze tube packaging. The style of it is simple and looks more like a skincare product.

The formula is mattifying, pore minimizing, oil free and makes the makeup last longer. It contains african whitewood and oleanolic acid combine with peptides to help balance to skin.

The formula of the primer is light weight and has a herbal scent to it. I apply it before doing my makeup and it does mattify the skin. Also noticed my pores are not as visible, but I have primers, which do better job with it (like the one from NYX, Pore Filler). Down below you can see the before and after picture.

The  primer did help with the oiliness a little, but I do mean a little. I still got oily through out the day, just not as much. I didn't see difference with my makeup wear time though (I already use long lasting foundation).

I don't think I'll buy it again. There are so many better primer available, like NYX Pore Filler and I also like one from Dior (can remember the name at the moment). I think the Nars primer would work better for someone who has not as oily skin type, like I have. I'll wait when the weather get cold and try it again.

If you wanna check it out fro yourself, you can find it here.

Which is your favorite primer?

Thank you for reading! xo's

Review: Hikari Blush | Cameo

Hi loves! Today I have for you Hikari Blush and its in shade Cameo (6g, $15) and I got it in one for the Style Tone boxes (you can see the last unboxing here).

The blush comes in black compact with clear lid. The formula of it feels silky to the touch. Its pigmented and easy to blend out. The shade Cameo is light pale pink with matte finish. Its perfect fresh shade for spring. I also like to mix it with other powders, like terracotta powder to add bit of warmth to it.

The staying power of it is good and I like how easy it is to work with it. It real blends easily and I like I'm able to build the color up. If I would go out in the evening I would reapply it, because it does fade a bit through out the day and I like my blush to look fresh.

The ingredients in it are not the best. It does contain parabens, talc and mineral oil. There is no scent to it and it hasn't cause me to brake out or irritate my skin.

There in altogether 9 shade available on their webpage (link), but their products are available only in the USA.

Have you tried any of their products before?

Thank you for reading! xo's
